The Beginning

Once upon a time I used to write. A lot. Now it seems as though I spend my days making tea for my babies, cleaning the dog hair off the floor, and making sure dinner is delectable. For some reason, I'm still in school, and in four short months, we will be adding Lunsford number three to our home.

Yet, I still feel that small tug on my heart to write. So, this is going to be my "baby steps" into that realm I used to frequent so often. If anything, it ought to serve as a reminder to me of the preciousness of these crazy days, and how good it is to be alive.

  1. I'm glad to stumble upon your blog! LOL, I hold my degree in Literature/English Ed., and I can COMPLETELY relate with your feelings on not writing(for me it's also not reading several books a month....or year for that matter!). Way to tak the baby step.

  4. Welcome to the addicting world of blogging! I'm excited to follow your family life. I really enjoyed our written correspondence in college. It's funny how things come full circle.

To echo the comment from "Pop and Grandma" I consider blogging to be my one indulgence and hobby in the crazy busy world of married life and motherhood. So enjoy yourself! Plus where else do you have full permission to unabashedly brag about your kids and family?!? ;o)

  5. Looking forward to reading more, Megan! You always had a way of finding the absurd in every situation, no matter how profound or whimsical it might be. I'll never forget how I almost "tinkled" my pants when you wrote the now infamous words, "I go bohemian!" :) The Lord has a sense of humor, too. He gave you a gift for seeing the world through a writer's eye...let Him use it whichever way He provides. "A man's heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps." Proverbs 16:9. Love you, girl! C
